ALIVE Wesleyan Student Ministry logo

ALIVE Wesleyan Student Ministries (AWSM) exists to reach spiritually hungry students, introduce them to Jesus Christ, and connect them to Christian community.  When this takes place, students learn to own their own faith, own the Church, and own the mission of God in their everyday lives.

AWSM Large Group Nights

On Large Group Nights, teens in 6th-12th grade converge for a recharging, challenging experience. A typical Large Group Night starts when we sign in and hang out for a few minutes before the doors open — this is where we get to catch up with friends and meet new people. Next we move into all kinds of fun and high-energy worship. We spend some time talking through practical teaching, and break into small groups (Huddles) to reflect on and apply this teaching.

Groups are led by positive, background checked adults who are hand-picked for just this kind of ministry. Each group meets at the time and location that works best for students, parents, and leaders. Each group is unique, but centered on consistency, community, and care.  Please be patient - placing students in the right group sometimes takes a little time, but it’s so worth it!

Sunday Mornings are incredibly rich times at ALIVE! Students are vibrant and active in worship and service. These are two crucial ways our teens experience Christ and His Community, the Church! You'll see students in every worship experience, and parking cars, making coffee, greeting and hosting visitors, caring for kids, and helping lead worship!
