PROJECT 20 represents our mission, vision and strategy all rolled into one. As we follow God’s leading we are praying like never before, reaching farther and doing the day-to-day work required to reach new communities and engage spiritually hungry people. This past Sunday, we introduced our newest church planter and his family for PROJECT 20’s Christ-centered community #3. Connor and Kayla Guerzini are so excited to accept this incredible call from God to plant in the 11th fastest growing community in the United States. So let’s pray for Connor and his family -- and for the key people that God is raising up to be part of this planting effort. Let us know about key connections you have in Spartanburg/Boiling Springs!
As we celebrate this church plant, please reinvigorate your prayers for Pastor Jason and Morgan – and for WEST CITY Church – our very first PROJECT 20 plant. They are journeying through their pre-launch phase that involves recruitment of launch team leaders and a growing Core team of mission-minded people with a heart for the fast-growing and daily-changing community of West Greenville. Planting a church is hard work and we appreciate their contagious love for Jesus and their persistence in developing new relationships. Check out their website at westcitychurch.org and their facebook page at West City Church for all the latest.
As you pray for our Christ-centered community #2 in Candler, NC, please pray for their next step in calling a Host Pastor. We are in a strategic partnership with Mt. Moriah Wesleyan Church and the North Carolina West District of the Wesleyan Church to help this church gain solid footing as a local church and to help them grow in spirit and strength to reach Buncombe County. We are helping them each week through the live-stream of our weekend services and coaching their leadership team through our ALIVE Network. They are in the process searching for a part-time Host Pastor that can grow with them as a local church.
Our vision for PROJECT 20 can be found on our website – I encourage you to refresh your own vision by listening again to Pastor Tom’s incredible introduction of God’s calling to PROJECT 20. It’s a worthwhile investment of three and a half minutes.
And then pray, pray, pray! Our “Pray First” approach will lead us to our next steps – a key leader, a location, an opportunity!
Thank you for being part of PROJECT 20!
A Note from Pastor Tom
Will you join us in praying for PROJECT 20: For God to place a sense of calling and direction on the heart of future plant and campus pastors; for clear direction on where and how to best startup these brand-new communities; for the hearts of those whose lives will change when they are introduced to a personal relationship with Jesus and to healthy Christian community.
