40 Day Reading Plan for Lent

What do I do during lent?

Have you wondered what to do during lent? Lent is a time of reflection during the 40 days that lead up to Easter. Traditionally, people fast or give something up during these days as a way of preparing for Easter. Lent can also be a great time to add a new practice, refocus your faith, or reflect on the present.

Here is a plan that we found that proved to be effective in our spiritual lives as we lead up to Easter.
Read the Psalm and the prayer every day. Then read the specific scripture for each day of the week.

Week 1 March 10

God you respond to people who cry out to you. You come to us when we ask, so today I turn to you. Protect me from getting distracted in my thoughts, and keep me from wanting the wrong things. Holy Spirit, come help me. Come guide me. Give me the strength to follow you, to love you, and to worship you with my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen
