Sermon Notes
John 19:26-27
When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, "Woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
Jesus is selfless in love.
Jesus really loves everyone!
Jesus was busy taking care of His mom’s need for eternal life.
But, He was also concerned with her immediate life.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 13:35
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
What did John call himself?
“The One Jesus Loves.”
You must accept that you are…
“The One Jesus Loves.”
You must REALLY see the person right in front of you.
You must jump into God’s family with both feet!
1 John 4:
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us….
John 13:35
By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
