Philippians 1:21
For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Philippians 1:27
Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ.
Hebrew 4: 14-16
Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we might receive mercy and grace to help us in our time of need.
Sacrifice allows us to view the eternal over the temporary.
Philippians 1:3
I thank my God…
Philippians 1:3-6
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore, we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So, we fix our eyes not on what is seen , but on what is unseen since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
It is through a spirit of sacrifice, that allows me to learn even in the most difficult of times.
2 Corinthians 1:8-11
We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
Philippians 1:9-11
And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God.
Philippians 4:11
[F]or I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.
Sacrifice allows me to depends on God to be the sustainer of life.
Philippians 3:7-8
But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ
Philippians 4:19
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus
