Definition — Faith is the confidence that Jesus is who he says he is and he will keep every promise he has made to us.

What good is it . . . if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him . . . In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions about his bones.
“Here comes that dreamer!” they said to each other. “Come now, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him. Then we’ll see what comes of his dreams.”
Now Joseph was well-built and handsome, and after a while his master’s wife took notice of Joseph and said, “Come to bed with me!”
The Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden.
