Sermon Notes
Romans 3:20
For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.
Romans 3:22
We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.
Romans 3:23–25
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.
Believers do not keep the law to gain God’s acceptance or approval. We keep God’s law as our grateful response to his love.
“We must allow our souls to catch up to our bodies.”
Be here now.
Chronic restlessness
Exodus 20:8–10
Remember to observe the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God.
Matthew 12:11–13
And he answered, “If you had a sheep that fell into a well on the Sabbath, wouldn’t you work to pull it out? Of course, you would. And how much more valuable is a person than a sheep? Yes, the law permits a person to do good on the Sabbath.” Then he said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” So the man held out his hand, and it was restored, just like the other one!
Observance of the Lord’s Sabbath quickly becomes obsolete if it does not spring from the fact God set apart this day for our good.

Into-me-see
Philippians 4:19
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
