Shortage

Sermon Notes

When these symptoms are present, there’s a pretty good sign maybe our soul is nodding off: Irritability, hypersensitivity, restlessness, workaholism or non-stop activity, emotional numbness, out of order priorities, lack of care for your body, escapist behaviors (distracting behaviors, binging), slipping in spiritual disciplines and isolation.

There is a sound I love to hear

It’s the sound of the Savior’s robe

As He walks into the room where people pray

Where we hear praises (Verse 2—worship) he hears faith.

Worship is my expression and belief of God’s Worth-ship in my life.

What if we are skipping leg day?

Luke 16:13–15: “No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”

The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering at Jesus. He said to them, “You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of men, but God knows your hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable in God’s sight.

We need more money.

A little bit more will make you do more of what you already do.

Here is the problem, everywhere you go, there you are. However much you make, there you are. Let me ask you some questions.

Aren’t you tired of the never-ending cycle of more is better?

Aren’t you tired of always arguing about money?

Aren’t you tired of never being satisfied with what you have?
