The Lamb

Sermon Notes

  • Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

  • Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death.

  • Exodus 2:23–25  . . . The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. God heard their groaning . . .

  • Exodus 11:4–8  So Moses said, “This is what the Lord says . . . Every firstborn son in Egypt will die, from the firstborn son of Pharaoh, who sits on the throne, to the firstborn son of the slave girl, who is at her hand mill, and all the firstborn of the cattle as well. There will be loud wailing throughout Egypt—worse than there has ever been or ever will be again.  But among the Israelites not a dog will bark at any man or animal.’

God is more disturbed by our sin than we are, and this should be alarming to us.
